Bonding Applications of Plasma Surface Treatment Machines

1. Adhesive Bonding

Plasma modifies surfaces like plastics, rubber, metals, glass, and composites by increasing their surface energy.

After treatment, adhesives (epoxy, PU, acrylic, etc.) spread uniformly and form strong mechanical & chemical bonds.

Used in:

Automotive assembly (bonding plastics, dashboards, trims)

2. Cartons, Lamination & Film Bonding

Mono cartons like Met Pet. Lamination, UV, BOPP, Thermal will get the strong bonding after plasma treatment

Packaging films (PE, PET, BOPP, PVC) are treated with plasma before lamination.
Prevents delamination and ensures the adhesive layer bonds firmly.

3. Composite Bonding

In aerospace, wind energy, and sports equipment, composites are bonded to metals or plastics.

Plasma treatment ensures strong adhesion without chemical primers.

4. Medical Applications

Plasma enables bonding of medical plastics (like PP, PE, PTFE) with adhesives or coatings that normally don’t adhere well.
